Some may say I’m addicted to massages. It’s my preferred method of taking care of my soul and my weary muscles. I would always have a massage on call if money were no object. But until then, I need to discover alternate ways to get daily massages, like the Snailax Heated Neck Massager , which is currently on sale at Amazon.
Even if I’m just lounging on the couch watching Friends reruns, I can still feel like I’m receiving regular massages at the spa thanks to this at-home massage equipment. Not to mention that it is really affordable considering that it is only $34 more expensive than Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale. I really have a version like that, and I use it at least four times every week. It features eight different deep shiatsu kneading modes, which are great because they get right into the discomfort and relieve pressure. Although it may be used on calves, which is ideal for runners, I usually focus on my neck, shoulders, and lower back. (Spoiler alert: Check out this $19 knee pain relief gizmo.)

When I truly need an extra kick to the sore regions, this absolutely works because the massager also has three different strength levels and a setting to heighten the sensation of heat. At first, it can be a little difficult to get used to the arm holes, but after a while, it becomes second nature to sling on and wear a shrug that resembles a sweater. The fact that the internal massage balls truly feel like a person’s hands, though, is my favorite aspect. The first time I turned it on, I was more than pleasantly delighted to find that I would genuinely feel like I was lying on a massage table rather than sitting up on my couch. I love deep tissue massages, so even though the pressure is definitely on the stronger side, I can’t get enough.
The Snailax Heated Neck Massager and the Nekteck version I own are extremely similar (which Kristen Bell also uses, BTW ). Naturally, I enjoy that it’s on sale, but it also appeals to me because of some additional features. You may even have a massage while you are driving thanks to the included car adapter. (Perhaps that would lessen how annoying traffic is.) Additionally, it has a removable flap that lets you adjust the strength of the massage.
Customers who have given it more than 7,000 five-star reviews concur that it is a wise buy for people in especially for athletes and those who engage in more strenuous physical activity. One customer stated, “As a rock climber, it is difficult to find a massaging device that applies enough pressure to relieve all the muscles in the back, but this one is fantastic. It’s “a must for active folks,” “helps with all the knots and tightness from exercises,” and is ideal for using on “hamstrings after a tough workout,” according to other reviewers.
