I can connect to the proverb “you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone” more than any other, at least when it comes to beauty. I had bleach-blonde ringlets when I was a toddler, exactly like Taylor Swift did when she was a country singer. When I was a teenager, I was regularly straightening my hair because as I got older, those curls loosened into lovely waves. (I mean, it had the “look” of the middle of the millennium.)
But now that curly hair is experiencing a rebirth, I long for the locks I had as a child. I’m committed to bringing back at least some of the curl pattern, even if I’ve realized that the springy strands of my youth may be long gone. The only items I’ve discovered that have aided me in my search are the Living Proof Curl Shampoo and Conditioner.
KEY FEATURES: LIVING PROOF CURL SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER What I examined: For the past six months, I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner combination three to four times every week. Ideal for: People who wish to highlight their natural curls and waves without using hair products. What would you adore: The quick results; the non-stripping shampoo formula and the non-greasy conditioner consistency. Remember: The curl-enhancing effect is only transitory, at least for me, and you might need extra products to make them stick. Important components: Shea butter in the conditioner and methiopeptide in the shampoo (to increase hair strength and elasticity) (to help create curl groupings). RESISTANT CURL SHAMPOO

A REVIEW OF LIVING PROOF CURL SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER Living Proof’s Curl Shampoo and Conditioner , as you might have guessed from their names, were both created especially for wavy, curly, and coily hair types, ranging from fine to thick textures. Since the creamy shampoo doesn’t produce much lather, it won’t dry out your mane while yet giving you a thorough enough clean to prevent a greasy scalp. Similar to the shampoo, the hydrating conditioner with shea butter infusion aids in curl formation and frizz control without weighing down strands. Additionally, the fresh, slightly floral aroma of both hair care items gives me the impression that I’m in a salon.
Six months ago, I first tried the Living Proof Curl Shampoo and Conditioner, and I knew right away that I had hit the jackpot. My scalp, which had accumulated sweat and dirt from workouts and gardening, was the first thing I washed on the first wash day and every wash day after that. Then, as I cleaned my face and body, I rubbed the conditioner into my strands, paying special attention to the midshaft and ends. I then let it sit for two to three minutes. After that, I rinsed my hair well and carefully crumpled and squeezed as much water out as I could with a soft cotton t-shirt. I then combed the product through my hair with my Wet Brush.
My typically scarcely perceptible waves looked bouncy, curlier, and more defined after they had air dried than they had in decades. In addition, my hair felt soft and immaculate.
My waves do become flat without any style products after a day or two, so the Living Proof recipe isn’t necessarily a long-term fix for my hair problem. I’ll probably need to look into and test out some light curl creams and mousses that maintain my curl pattern while being airy enough for my delicate texture for that. My post-wash curls were springy just after a collarbone-length chop, and they appear to have loosened up as my hair has grown out. My hair length also seems to have an impact on the quality of my waves.
Despite the fact that I don’t think my wavy curls have fully developed yet, I won’t be giving up the Living Proof Curl Shampoo and Conditioner any time soon. The two sulfate-free products have left my hair feeling strong, healthy, and free of muck. Who knows, when used in conjunction with other curl-enhancing treatments, those distinct curls from my childhood may even reappear.
